DR. MEGAN RIEHL, PsyD, AGAF
Dr. Megan Riehl, PsyD, AGAF is a key opinion leader in the field of psychogastroenterology. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan. In her clinical practice she offers state-of-the-art care to those with digestive conditions. She is the clinical program director of GI Behavioral Health at Michigan Medicine where she has a full-time clinical practice, leads GI behavioral health trainings and provides peer consultation. She also holds several leadership positions within Michigan Medicine committed to the areas of wellbeing and professional development. Dr. Riehl is passionate about developing innovative educational programming to improve access to integrative care for patients with GI conditions and serves in several consultation roles to advance this mission.
Dr. Riehl is an actively involved member of various professional GI organizations and is a member of the national board of trustees with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. She is recognized as a Fellow with the American Gastroenterological Association. Her research and clinical expertise have led to several peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, invited commentaries and a co-authored book titled Mind Your Gut: The Science-based, Whole-body Guide to Living Well with IBS. She has been invited to speak internationally about her areas of expertise as well as on Sirius XM Doctor Radio, NPR and several well-known podcasts and television. Together with world renowned, digestive health expert Kate Scarlata, she co-hosts The Gut Health Podcast where these enthusiastic health care advocates discuss all aspects of gut health with other leading experts in the field. When it comes to self-care, Dr. Riehl loves to hop on the Peloton for classes featuring 90s and 2000s rap or get outside for fresh air and adventures with her family.

EMILY HALLER MS, RDN, DipACLM
Emily Haller, MS, RDN, DipACLM, is a nationally recognized expert in digestive health and medical nutrition therapy for gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. Emily currently serves as a Lifestyle and Culinary Medicine Program Coordinator at Trinity Health, where she integrates her GI nutrition expertise into innovative lifestyle and culinary medicine programming. She is passionate about empowering individuals to improve their health through practical, personalized nutrition strategies rooted in whole food, plant-based eating.
Previously, Emily worked in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Michigan Medicine, where she provided individualized nutrition counseling to patients with complex GI disorders. During her time there, she co-founded and served as co-director of the annual GI nutrition training program for dietitians, FOOD: The Main Course to Digestive Health.
A dedicated educator and collaborator, Emily has co-authored book chapters and published articles in the field of GI nutrition. She holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Central Michigan University, a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science from Indiana University and is board-certified in Lifestyle Medicine.
Outside of her work at Trinity Health, Emily combines her love of food and science through endurance sports nutrition counseling, recipe development, and food photography at Plant Empowered Kitchen—bridging the gap between clinical advice and everyday life.

MAUREEN WESTFALL, CNP
Maureen Westfall, CNP, is a certified women’s health nurse practitioner. Maureen has clinical interests in obstetrics, gynecology, post sexual assault care and menopause management. She cares for obstetrical patients at Trinity Health Ann Arbor Hospital, providing education and guidance to new mothers. She also sees obstetrical and gynecological patients at Trinity Health IHA Medical Group, Obstetrics & Gynecology - Domino's Farms.

DR. CATHY GOLDSTEIN, M.D.
Cathy Goldstein, M.D. is a Professor of Neurology at the University of Michigan Sleep Disorders Center and faculty lead of the Eisenberg Family Depression Center Mobile Technologies Core and the University of Michigan Mobile Technology Research Innovation Collaborative (MeTRIC).
Dr. Goldstein's research uses consumer facing sleep tracking devices and mathematical modeling to assess sleep patterns and circadian rhythms in the ambulatory, day-to-day setting to determine their role in health and disease (including in women’s reproductive health, multiple sclerosis, and gastrointestinal conditions). Her international expertise in sleep tracking technology is highlighted by her role as one of the lead authors of the ‘State of the Science and Recommendations for Using Wearable Technology in Sleep and Circadian Research’ from the Sleep Research Society (SRS) and as a member of the task force for Consumer Sleep Tracker Guidelines by the World Sleep Society (WSS).
She serves the sleep community as one of the senior editors of the sleep field’s sentinel text, Principles and Practice of Sleep Medicine, and additionally, holds editorial roles for UpToDate and the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. She was previously the chair of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)’s Artificial Intelligence in Sleep Medicine Committee and speaks internationally in this area.
Dr Goldstein educates a variety of learners including training physicians, peer groups, University of Michigan athletes (and athletic staff), and the public via numerous media outlets (CNN, New York Times, Time) and podcasts.
In her work at the U-M Sleep Disorders Center, she cares for patients with various sleep conditions. She is the sleep department’s physician champion for virtual care and Epic, and the billing and compliance officer for Neurology.

While going through her own health journey in 2021, Kristen discovered the importance of setting boundaries in all areas of her life. Implementing this was critical to her long-term joy and balance — mentally, emotionally, and physically. Kristen will be opening the event at 6pm, sharing more about her journey and her WHY behind the passion and excitement in hosting this exclusive experience to lift up other women.
Kristen runs a successful boutique firm with offices in Ann Arbor and Okemos, MI, advising clients around the country. She also has a small divorce financial consulting practice. Kristen resides in Saline, MI with her husband, who holds the primary role of caring for their three school age children.
Kristen has a passion for empowering women, which shines through her personal and professional life. She also has a strong commitment to her meditation and Pure Barre routines, sweating it out on the Peloton, sunshine and fresh air, golf, traveling, and new experiences. Her mantra for life is “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
